CLASS 9 CHAPTER 5 THE FUNDAMENTAL UNIT OF LIFE Day 2 " Whenever you feel sad, just remember that there are trillions of cells in your body & all they care about is you!!" Dear Students, Welcome Back!😊 I hope you have completed your yesterday's assignment. This is our second class for this chapter. After this class, you will be able to: List the basic structural components of a cell. Explain the structure and function of the cell membrane. Distinguish between Hypotonic, Hypertonic & Isotonic solutions. Explain the structure and function of the cell wall. Note: Content written in blue should be recorded as notes in the Biology Notebook. Happy Learning!😊 Structural Organisation of Cell: General components present in every cell are: ( To be drawn in bio notebook) Plasma /Cell Membrane It is the outermost covering of the cell that separates cell contents from its external environment. It allows entry or exit of cer
CLASS 9 CHAPTER 5 THE FUNDAMENTAL UNIT OF LIFE Day 1 "A Cell is regarded as the true biological Atom " - George Henry Lewes Dear Learners, Thank you for Logging in! You're wonderful!😊 Note: Content written in blue should be recorded as notes in the Biology Notebook. This is our first class for this chapter. At the end of it, you will be able to: 1. Recapitulate cell as the basic Structure and Functional unit of Life. 2. Distinguish between Unicellular & Multicellular Organisms. 3. Approximate different shapes & sizes of the cells. 4. Estimate about Microscopes & its Types. 5. Approximate Cell Theory . Happy Learning!😊 Introduction: Observe a few Living Creatures from your surroundings. It can be Plants, Birds, Insects, Animals, Microbes (Corona Virus) and even you! Let's take the example of Human Beings . Human Beings are further made up of: Human Being---->Digestive System, Respiratory Syst
Hello Learners, In previous blog, we learned about the significance of division of labour in multicellular organisms. The structural organisation of organs and organ systems is far more specialised and localised in complex animals than even in very complex plants. This fundamental difference reflects the different modes of life pursued these two major groups of organism particularly in their different feeding method. They are differently adapted for sedentary existence on one hand (plants) and active locomotion (animals) contributing to this difference in organ system design. Today, we will discuss more about PLANT TISSUES. At the end of today's topic, learners will be able to (i) define meristematic tissue. (ii) explain the importance of meristematic tissue in the plant body. (iii) tell the location of meristematic tissue in the plant body. (iv) draw the location of meristematic tissue in the plant body. PLANT TISSUE P
